About Us!

Paul and Lorraine have been playing Irish music together for a couple of years now, starting with the rouge folk band Folk UnderGround and then splitting off to form their own, still as yet un-named,  duo. Many names have been kicked around the last couple of years " Fabulous Lorraine and the Hunka-Hunka Burning Leprechaun "   " Katy and the Devil "  " Hot Chick and the Guy " " Walk the Plank, Stupid"  and the very creative " Me and Him"

Finally in March of 2007, after getting tired of being asked, over and over, " WHAT are you going to call yourselves and WHERE is your website, they decided to heck with the name, and with the help of Malena and the the Web Elf, created paulandlorraine.com  

Paul and Lorraine play Irish music. All sorts of Irish music. And Scottish music, and English music, some original music and a whole lot of songs where people get sent to prison in Australia forever .  Something for everyone.  Lots of Drinking, lots of lots of losing your love forever,  plenty of Death, Doom and Destruction and Happy little nights in the Pub. Not to mention some of the best Irish Fiddle Tunes going.  

They like to have fun. They like to take requests and will play just about anything, if they know just about half of it. Someday they will learn all the words to Puff the Magic Dragon. (  why this song is so requested in Irish Bars they do not know, but  their audiences seem to love it  and are happy to sing it . At least the first verse. Over and Over.) They will play the Unicorn song for free. Once. If Paul has had enough Whisky. If Paul has to much whisky,  he will play Freebird for you. ( this is sometimes more fun than it sounds. Trust them ) They will play the Irish Washerwomen ( Retitled simply The Irish Song ) at least once a set. ( again, trust them )  

Paul plays the Guitar and Sings. Lorraine plays the violin. Or Fiddle.( same thing, folks ) And Sings. They like best the kind of shows where YOU are as much a part of the evening as they are. ( Why should they have to do all the work??? ) They have plenty of things you can sing along to. And plenty of things to sit back with your pint and listen to. Or get wild to. Or even Maudlin. ( Remember all those Australian Prison songs??? Sad stuff! )  

Nights in the Pub with Paul and Lorraine are a lot like sitting in your living room with a group of old friends.   A few pints, a sip of whisky, lots of laughter and good music. Mostly Paul and Lorraine like to have fun. And they would like you to be there. Wherever they are. 

Personal info:  

Paul Score is a geneticist by day and rock god by night. He has been playing guitar for over 70 years and knows almost all the chords. Paul has three children and would like at least ten more. Paul is currently single.

Lorraine Garland works as a personal assistant to Van Halen during the day and fiddles like the devil at night. She promises someday she will learn all of the Devil Went Down to Georgia. Lorraine has no children , but 13 cats, six dogs and a Tasmanian Devil. She is also single.
